Daruma...

A while back, my wife had given me a unique gift for my birthday...Daruma Doll, some call a good luck charm, others a goal setting tool.  Usually the doll will have only one eye drawn in and when the goal is reached you are to fill in the other. Every year I try to reach certain goals I put forth for myself, hoping at least to complete one.   I post this scribble to all those who are on the never-ending  journey, as artists.  Until next time, adios amigos.  Promise to bring new scribbles soon!

That is super cool. What culture does it come from?

Thanks Adam! It comes from Japan, there is alot of different designs on the doll, this just my interpretation. Here's more info on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daruma_doll

Wonderful image. I think I would have a few of those hanging around my art desk waiting for dual vision. Nice post!
